'Not only is punishment risky, but it also fails to teach the dog an acceptable alternate behaviour. The dog does not learn what to do the next time he is in the same situation. He only learns to fear the situation.' Emma Parsons, Click to Calm p73

I'm amazed at how Lola leaps onto the sofa! Too cute. She was getting braver and braver on the ball. I have to get Chewy up on ours on a more regular basis.

She looks like she is getting more confident on the ball. Have you tried using an oblong or peanut shaped ball for her? Both of my dogs act way more comfortable using that than the standard round ball, and there are tons of things you can do with them.

Koira, I hadn't thought of getting a peanut shaped ball! I'll keep an eye out for one, thanks :)
