'Not only is punishment risky, but it also fails to teach the dog an acceptable alternate behaviour. The dog does not learn what to do the next time he is in the same situation. He only learns to fear the situation.' Emma Parsons, Click to Calm p73

Meetup at the Canal.

On Saturday, I took Lola to go for a walk with her mother (Molly) and brother (Rocky). She was perfectly behaved at the canal - fantastic at greeting other dogs, a reserved friendliness to strange people, even going so far as to gently sniff a black labrador (her most detested 'type' of dog). She looks really similar to Molly too - she has her long build, and they are pretty much the same size now. Rocky isn't quite as long, and is more stocky than both of the girls. It was great seeing everyone!

What a great day out. I bet the three terriers attracted a lot of attention. I see Lola had herself a little swim!
