'Not only is punishment risky, but it also fails to teach the dog an acceptable alternate behaviour. The dog does not learn what to do the next time he is in the same situation. He only learns to fear the situation.' Emma Parsons, Click to Calm p73

The Importance of Being A Mouse.

It has happened! I've finally found a way to tell my girl mice apart. As with most things to do with mice, it is the tails that are important here.

Flower is a little bit squinty, and has a fairly thin tail.

Tosca has a bumpy, wiggle-y tail.

Mozart has a fairly fat tail.

Kinkajou has a kinked tail.

And Wheatley, of course, looks slightly different to my fat girls!
